Keyboarding and Popular Piano

This is a group keyboard class that was developed by Omar Arroyo Garcia, from Costa Rica who has over 22 years of experience. His method is based on developing creativity with all the keyboard has to offer: musical features, musical execution, and improvisation. Students will learn to play in groups (bands) or as a soloist. Students can choose to take this class in Spanish or English!

Fundamentals class is the beginning study of ballet. Whether your child has had ballet before or this is their first time, the dancers will continue to grow and learn more ballet vocabulary and movement.

Students attending this class will focus on learning additional skills and techniques on their respected instruments. The primary means of instruction will focus on the individual as well as within the context of the group. In addition to these skills, participants will continue learning valuable performance practices for a small ensemble. The class will conclude with a performance at the end of the summer session in conjunction with the other small ensemble classes. Music and music stands will be provided for the duration of this class.

Students will take their guitar playing to the next level by learning techniques for improvisations including melodic patterns or sequences that will help you not to sound like you are playing scales all the time. It will expand your possibilities and create more freedom in your playing. Music theory concepts will be applied to both improvising and songwriting.
