Introduction to Songwriting*

Musicians and poets will listen and learn by creating songs based on their own writings and discussions on structure, word choice, melodic line and chords. Musicla experience not required. The final class will be an infoermal public performance and discussion of new songs.

Advanced Music Composition and Arranging*
(Prerequisite is Introduction to Songwriting)

Students will extend their capabilities as musicians/songwriters with discussions in music theory, structure and chord choice, writing a lead sheet and using music for plot movement.They may write songs for a production, or write/arrange songs of their own.

Comedy Improv I

This course is a fun exploration of comedy improvisation through theater games, confidence-building exercises and basic improvisation techniques, the performer explores creativity, learns to think "on his feet", team building skills and self-confidence.

This advanced program builds upon the fundamentals of improvisation and helps students advance their scenic and character skills, explore forms and styles and learn how to use improvisation to create material for a satiric comedy revue.
