With Instructor Megan Williams Students will learn the basics of theatre: working in an ensemble, moving on stage, singing, dancing, and creating as a group! The class will explore fairytale stories, songs, and scenes from some musical favorites.
Act 1: Ages 4-6

With Instructor Danielle Szymanski This course will introduce students to the various disciplines of the theatre, including design, technical, and performance. Students will also learn about theatre history, types, and etiquette. Each student will gain an academic understanding of the
theatre and practical experience. In this session they will work on individual monologues and scene work. They will also learn about (and from) professionals who are working in theatre
today!
Ages 8-18
NEW Class will be Coming Spring 2024!
With Instructor Danielle Szymanski Students will explore the creative side of theatre arts with a focus on story, movement, and intention. They will discover character motivation and emotion through improvisational theatre as well as learn to find the meaning behind the author’s written word. In this session, they will focus on fairy tales and classic stories from the perspective of various characters. They will also explore how theatre design influences our performance and the audience perception of a play. No Class Nov. 21, Dec. 19 & 26.
Ages 6-9

With Instructor Danielle Szymanski Do you want to learn a secret? The art of magic is often the first theatre art that we are exposed to in life, yet it remains the most mysterious. In this course, students will explore the science, mystery, and history of magic. Students will uncover the 10 categories of magic, the Magician’s Code (Yes, it's real!), and the psychology of illusion. If you have ever wanted to make something appear, disappear, or float (and so much more), this exciting class is for you! No Class Nov. 21, Dec. 19 & 26.
Ages 8-18
NEW Class will be Coming Spring 2024!
With Instructor Maria Getz-Beery Students will hone their performance skills through a series of movement, vocal and improvisation exercises, as well as by rehearsing and performing in a short one-act play. This is a ten-week class with a dress rehearsal and a performance during the final
week of class.No class Nov. 20.

With Instructor Danielle Szymanski
Students will read and examine dramatic literature, both contemporary and classical.Through literary analysis of scripts students will make connections to the world around them and develop a deeper understanding of the human condition, as reflected by the theatre. They will be expected to read, research, and write written responses outside of the classroom for this course. This course is designed to count for 1/4 of a Language Arts credit for homeschool students, only! No Class Nov. 21, Dec. 19 & 26.
